UI / UX design

In 2015 the Covidien "Minimally Invasive Therapies Group" (MITG) in EMEA finally launched a mobile site covering 12 Business Units comprised of 67 product categories and including 363 product lines. I was responsible for the UI (user interface), UX (user experience), and visual design. The site served as a product portfolio highlighting key product features. All claims had to go thru a legal review. The "Contact a Rep" button on lower level pages encouraged existing and future customers to get in touch.

With the tagline "Keep the Essential", Memonic was a cloud-based web application that helped users capture web content, organize it in folders, tags, or groups, and share it. Usability testing, paper prototypes, and user surveys played a large role during this site re-design. The main UI goal was to simplify the interface while adding functionality. The brand targeted B2B customers. The development team followed a Scrum process, releasing features every two weeks. This posed a challenge to maintain design consistency across the site.

SpringBoard was a CollegeBoard program with a rigorous curriculum for grades 6-12 in English and Math. SpringBoard Online provided educators, administrators, and students access to assessments and instructional materials. The new online application design featured clear navigation and content hierarchy. An accompanying styleguide provided web developers in-depth annotations for building the site.

Founded in 1900, The College Board is a non-profit organization whose mission is to connect students to college success. The Education Professionals website provides educators and administrators the tools, information, and research they need to be competitive. Thousands of articles are organized through four levels of navigation. A styleguide provides web developers in-depth annotations for building the site and also helps maintain a consistent brand as new areas are added.
